Neil has worked in retail mortgage lending since 1989 after graduating with a degree in business from Towson University. He founded Allymac Mortgage Services in 1997 with a desire to provide his borrowers with choices that would match their individual situations, honest advice and full, clear disclosure. Neil and his team at Allymac became part of the Southern Trust family in December of 2009.

Neil has an extensive background with a variety of conventional and government insured mortgage programs including FHA (traditional as well as 203k renovation loans and HECM reverse mortgage loans), VA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and a wide range of portfolio construction, jumbo and private placements. Over the span of his career, Neil has personally helped thousands of homeowners and home-buyers and helped grow his last company to be one of the largest and highest ranked reverse mortgage lenders in Maryland, the Mid-Atlantic region and the United States. After serving 12 years as President and CEO of Allymac Mortgage Services, a regional lender based in Owings Mills, Maryland. Neil joined forces with Southern Trust Mortgage and now serves as Branch Manager and Vice President of the Reverse Mortgage Division. Southern Trust Mortgage is a subsidiary of Middleburg Bank.

Neil is a past-president of the Maryland Association of Mortgage Brokers and is a current member of its Ethics Oversight Committee. He has served as a consultant to the Maryland Legislature in the formation of continuing education requirements for Mortgage Brokers and has been appointed to represent the industry before the Commissioner of Financial Regulation and serves on the Mortgage Advisory Council to the Conference of State Bank Supervisors in the development of a federally mandated national mortgage licensing system (NMLS).

Neil is a long time resident of Pikesville Maryland, where he lives with his wife and two children.

Murph is a well known resident of the community having served on the executive boards of many state & local organizations. Murph has been involved with Northwest Hospital, Maryland Economic Development Association, Baltimore Development Corp., Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore, Charles Village Civic Association, Baltimore City Yacht Association, National Confectioners Association, National Candy Wholesalers Association, and The National Association for The Specialty Trade.

Murph has been called a “Lifesaver”, a “Miracle Worker” and a “Supportive Force” by some of his customers, for his ability to help borrowers change their life patterns; to build security, and to establish comfort zones within their lives. Murph is responsible, eager, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable about all facets of the mortgage lending industry.

Murph has developed an extremely strong network of lenders, satisfied customers, and referral sources to aid in his business outreach.

Murph holds a BS Degree in Management & Finance, and a Juris Doctor Degree in Law

Murph’s background in law, and his thirty-eight years of experience as CEO of a national manufacturing and distribution company has given him an unusually broad base of experience with which to help his customers, clients, and friends.

Murph is the very proud Grandfather of six beautiful Grandchildren, and resides in Baltimore County with his wife Nancy.
